Believing Muslims are involved in various criminal activities, including child rape, sodomy, violence against women, the killing of women, and the slaughter of people with different identities.<\/p>\n
Across the globe\u2014and particularly regarding individuals with diverse sexual identities, such as the LGBTQ+ community\u2014rights have been suppressed in the name of religion. In Bangladesh specifically, even in this modern era, the freedom and diversity of these minority groups are crushed through militant attacks and mass killings carried out in the name of Islam. Freedom of sexual identity is suppressed through attacks with sharp weapons, religious fatwas, Sharia restrictions, and the spread of Islamic extremism.<\/p>\n
To groups of Islamic fundamentalists, homosexuals are criminals. Independent women, atheists, and critics of religion are also considered criminals. Any free individual who refuses to abide by the tenets of the narrow Islamic faith\u2014preached by the hypocritical child-rapist Prophet Muhammad\u2014is deemed a criminal.<\/p>\n
\nOnly Prophet Muhammad is regarded as the supreme, greatest human being; yet, the propagation of his religion was driven by a lust for power, women, and supremacy. It is a religion wherein Allah himself legitimizes Prophet Muhammad\u2019s acts of child rape. Muhammad\u2019s forced sexual intercourse with female war captives, the rape of the child Aisha (aged six) under the guise of marriage, and his unrestrained sexual conduct involving eleven wives and two concubines\u2014all of these are sanctioned as lawful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Even today, in Bangladesh’s residential madrasas, Maulanas (Islamic clerics) who sexually abuse or sodomize young boys are often granted impunity by invoking the Quran and Sharia law. While homosexuality is generally considered a crime, sexual acts involving a minor constitute a specific offense\u2014a clear violation of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, 2000.<\/p>\n
Love is not a crime; a woman loving a woman or a man loving a man is an expression of sexual freedom and pride. However, when the rights of individuals with diverse sexual identities are curtailed in the name of religion, Sharia, or Islamic politics\u2014and sanctioned by state law\u2014it constitutes a clear violation of human rights.<\/p>\n
There is no scope for reform within Islam\u2014a religion rooted in idolatry, the sexual exploitation of women, and an obsession with sexuality. In Bangladesh, the influence of extremist Islamic groups\u2014such as Jamaat-e-Islami, Hefazat-e-Islam, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, and Hizb-ut-Tahrir\u2014is so potent that Maulanas and activists from these groups (who are known to sodomize boys in madrasas) would likely feel no hesitation in engaging in anal intercourse\u2014even in the name of religion\u2014just as the Prophet Muhammad is alleged to have done. Furthermore, the laws of the Bangladeshi state, specifically Section 377 of the Penal Code, historically criminalize certain forms of same-sex relationships.<\/p>\n
One must raise one’s voice and take a stand against such religious fascism. We must cast aside everything\u2014from the Prophet Muhammad and the Quran to Sharia law\u2014that fosters the spread of terrorism and enables the stripping away of human rights in the name of religious law.
